My neighbor is constantly just dropping off her daughter (1 yr old) at my house and she is constantly hitting and biting my DD. I went to the bathroom one day and came back down the hall to find her on top of my DD (7mo) hitting her. Since then i have kept them separated. I have told the mother multiple times i DONT WANT TO WATCH YOUR KID!! Some how its not getting through. I am moving in a month, but until then i dont know what to do. Im afraid if i dont watch her no one will. I am SO FED UP! The kids hits everyone. The mother is always spanking and yelling at the little girl, thats NOT how i parent, and im assuming thats why the little girl hits. The little girl is also extremely over-weight. So she is just now able to crawl. I have so many things i want to say to the mother but im scared to bc she is the type to "fly off the handle". I cant call DHS bc she isnt technically abusing her kid. What should i do?!?!

Keep your door locked and do not answer when she comes knocking. If you really want to, put a note on the door that says, "I'm sorry but I already spoke to you about this, I can not watch Emily. Have a great day!"

I agree. When i saw it i was horrified. I couldnt believe it! Ever since i have kept my daughter in a moby wrap when the other kid is over. My DD is number 1!! But im scared that the mother will leave her kid alone if i dont watch her :(

Spanking and hitting teaches a child to do the same if they dont like someones behavior. We DO NOT SPANK in my home. Never have, and my older kids are very well behaved.
