I think its a bat or something i dont know. we can hear it squeakingand scratching. we rent so do i tell home owner or do i call an exterminator and pay for it?

Tell the home owner, it's probably a mouse or rat.

Call your landlord and let them know. If they do not take care of the problem, I would call an exterminator.

squrials , my nieghbor accors the street had them really bad.... or a mouse but I would say they would have to be extremly bad for you to notice them like that.

Could.be rat or squirrel ot something. Call the homeowner. He.thy dont do anything get an exterminater and send them.the.bill.
