Seems to me, even if you teach your child who God is, someone else will still tell him/her who God isn't, and your child will have to make up his/her own mind, as everyone does at some point.

Unless you're for complete indoctrination.  In which case, good luck with that.

IMO , God can be a judgemental fairytale. An all knowing imaginary man who sits in the sky and judges you. No thanks. I will teach my children everything they need to know, god or otherwise.

That's true, they will have to make their own decision at some point. But, as a parent you have done your job by teaching them who He is. No one can force anyone to believe anything.

This just sounds like you're saying....EVERYONE SHOULD TEACH THEIR CHILD ABOUT GOD BECAUSE I WANT MY CHILD TO BELIEVE IN GOD!.....honestly...get real.
