I have had headaches for TWO years now, been bounced around between doctors among doctors. No one has helped me manage the fucking pain and no one but one doctor has helped me figure out the damn problem. I want some fucking releif and no one is helping me!!

Should I make a complaint? would it help?

Full story below:

Is this par for the Course?

In 2010 I became pregnant with my third child. In March 2011 I started to get really bad headaches. Nothing would help me, my OB prescribed me lortab for them. I had the headaches daily, nonstop, daily. I took the lortab twice a day everday. My OB knew and assured me that as long as I was taking them according to the label I would be fine. I knew nothing about narcotics.

In July 2011 I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. my headaches continued. My OB referred me to a primary care physician. She immediately took me off of the lortab. The next five days were HELL for me. As, if you know ANYTHING about narcotics, you could imagine. She did nothing to help me with the withdrawl but give me steriods (how those were supposed to help, i have no clue, I think she just wanted me out of her office)

I went to a neuro to see if I could take anything for the headaches, due to bfing I could only try a limited amount of things. Nothing help. After being done bfing in August of 2012 I went back to Neuro to try other things. Nothing helped.

I was referred to a pain management clinic, which is where they prescribed me Verapamil which help Significantly but not 100%. They also wanted me to do Imagery therapy which is a bunch of HUB BUB bullshit if you ask me. The dr. I was working with in the program quit and I was not referred to another dr. within the program being referred back to my primary care physician, who referred me to a headache specialist because she doesn't know what to tell me.

the Verapamil helps but I still get servere headaches durnig my period. I just got done trying a new birth control that did nothing but give me MORE headaches.

have you had a CT scan to rule out anything internal?  that's the first thing they sent me for when I had a single migraine that was worse than any other, and went on for a week.  they also did a full blood panel at the same time.

I had an MRI done, came back clear. At this time they are calling it hormonal/ stress/anxiety related...but aren't helping me other then that!

I guess that's what I don't understand. they know it is due to my hormones, because it conintues to happen during my period...so why haven't they tested my levels??

I'm scratching my head now.

I guess I'll email my OB and see if I can schedule one.

I have tried everything under the sun and then some. Literally. the last two years have been nothing but one big long roller coaster ride. I'm so ready to just be done and stop focusing on this damn problem. I want my life back.

Did you have an epidural? That is one of the possible side effects.

No idea how to help you cause I'm in the same boat. I've seen several different doctors a specialist, and had a clean MRI. I can't tell you how many different meds I've been on but nothing works. Please let me know if you ver find relief because I'd be forever grateful!!
