Get her some work books. They sell them everywhere. They also have flash cards of about 100 words on them

There should be a technology-like system like leapfrog or vtech that helps with spelling and reading

read to her / have her practice / and keep at it / or you can look for the learning centers if you are doing all that and am still frustrated --- sometimes they can't concentrate at home and a libray helps too

I used workbooks w/stickers for both my kids. I have my 5yr old DD help me write the grocery list. I have her sound out how she thinks it is spelled then I help her spell it corrrectly. It gives her a sense of pride to help me.
