I knew it wasn't safe to ERF....

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Past two years anyway. I went to my WIC appointment today and they're now handing out pamphlets saying that to REDUCE RISK OF INJURY to you're child, they need to be FRONT FACING by two years of age. Hmmm. I'm pretty sure I've seen on here that you're supposed to ERF them until 4 and 5....so again I ask....are you sure?

My child is 6, still harnessed.
It depends on the seat.

Quoting Queen_Bree:

I dont understand any of this car seat business. How do you rear face a 4 or 5 year old? My kids didnt fit in a car seat past age 4...

Lol, quietly...

Quoting Anonymous:

Last I heard from the carseat crowd was they're supposed to be RFing until the learn to drive themselves.

Yes I fixed it.

Quoting Lunarprancer:

You meant internal right?

Quoting MissMysteriouss:

ERF is best until 4 years old. That is when the bones go through a hardening and the risk of eternal decapitation decreases.

Yes, I am sure that it is safer to rear face. I am a technician, and the studies we learned from were proof.

3 moms liked this

Honey, there are mothers on here that are going to ERF until there children are 21, they will unstrap them from their rearfacing carseat to send them to prom, and you wont convince them otherwise!
