Should fast food be banned?

Posted by   + Show Post
I don't think they should because it was the persons choices about eating the food at the fast food place. So why banned something that someone sometimes finds rewarding to have as long as your smart about it.

No but I think there should be limits on how unhealthy the food can be.

Big macs? Banned? I don't think so! I don't need others making me eat healthy. They've already done enough of that by changing just about every single product I grew up on. They all taste like crap now.

No. People need to learn self control.

but no one is being forced to eat there. quality may be subpar...but they have a customer base who CHOOSE to eat there, right?

With regards to diseases costing the gov't money...that's only true if you are on state medical aid, right??

Quoting mmmonkey:

Not banned, but the bar should be legally raised on what type of food can be sold there. I mean some of the shit they sell does not even qualify for food. It causes diseases and then costs the government billions of dollars.

Why would anyone want the government to be able to dictate what they eat?

As much as I hate the rechid junk, no, I do not believe they should be banned. People have a right to eat what they want.

I just said that to my mom the other day. my granpa used to bring a box of oatmeal pies (Little Debbie cakes) every friday when he would come for a visit and i LOVED them, i had one the other day after years and years and it tasted like fake greasy sugar. it was terrible...and slightly disappointing b/c i had loved them so much.
