Calling Dr. Cafemom!

OK so lately I've been getting a copper/metallic smell when I breathe in through my nose, I have no idea what could be causing this.

I've had some sinus issues, a little congestion and cough (mostly at night or when I first wake up in the morning) but nothing too bad and I don't think its an infection but I could be wrong.

Any ideas?

I will be calling my doc next week but we don't have insurance so if its something minor I don't want to be out $50 or more for an unneccesary doctor visit.

I've also been taking mucinex and sudafed off and on for a week or so.

Could your nasal passages have blood in them from dry skin...maybe you're smelling the blood? I know that's reaching, but it's all I can think of...

Could you be pregnant ? I had a metal like taste in my mouth for the first few weeks then it turned into morning sickness ( more like all day sickness ).

I highly doubt it, I have an iud and I just had my cycle a day or so ago (well what counts for one with mirena) but anythings possible.

I often get that when taking sinus meds for more than 3 or 4 days. It makes your sinuses really raw.
