If you wouldn't be safe to drive you are not safe to nurse.

You can breastfeed while you're drinking them, but a few hours afterward is when the alcohol would be present in the milk.

when did you start drinking? how much alcohol was in each drink? my guess is that yes, you are too drunk. the alcohol will be passed through your breastmilk to baby, if you breastfeed while there is still alcohol in your system. give baby a bottle and bf in the morning. pump and dump if you have to, to relieve the pressure and prevent infection.

Oh good grief.

If you're four margaritas deep I highly doubt you should breastfeed or be handling your baby for fear that you might do something stupid like drop or smother the poor thing.

how long between each drink? Do you feel buzzed?

They make strips that will say if alcohol is in your breast milk. If you breastfeed and drink alcohol you should invest in some. I don't drink so I have never had to deal with them. Also just feed your child previously pumped milk until the alcohol is out of your milk.
