Lift the arm and cut off the blood flow till it will stop.

Luckily it didn't hurt that bad and doesn't hurt now :) thankfully my grater (sp?) Is pretty new so it is still sharp.

I hear ya! Been there, done that many times!
I LOVE love love my kitchen Aid mixer, have the shredder attachment. no more blood! I guess a good food processor is nice, too.
You know, I will buy the bulk pre shredded cheeses a lot- SO many times, the price is better than the chunks!
Then I divide bag and freeze it!

I have a kitchen aid, so I will have to look into getting the attachment!
