How long do you keep a mattress?

I was just spraying down mine and thinking of all the years of wear, kid grossness and general living. I think it is time for a new one. How long have you had yours?

We have had ours for almost 6 years.

Edited: I've not even thought of getting a new one, ours is still super comfy.

We have had ours for about 5 years. When we redo our room in a couple of months we are getting a new one, only because we are going from queen to king. I always keep a mattress pad on it so it's clean. So the queen bed will be going to my 9 year old DD.

Since we moved here so almost 6 years.
It's a pillow top so there's no flipping it over.

We change every four years, not because ok kids or stains...just because we want to. You're spraying it down? What kind of mattress do you have that you can just spray it?

Ours is like 10 years old lol and we really really need a new one. DDs peeded on it several times. I plan on getting a new one with our tax money

Until its no longer usable. Our mattress is older than we are.

I'm guessing it's about 7 years old. It's a p.o.s. We're getting a new one if our tax refund is decent.

IDK because it was SO's before me. I'd have to ask him.

I use peroxide, baking soda and water. Let dry and then vacuum. It looks clean but the thought of laying on the same young for years and years grosses me out. Even with the sheets and mattress cover it just seems dirty.
