Drinking too much water? Should I be worried?

I decided to start drinking more water. I was drinking around 90 oz per day and decided to bump it up to a gallon a day (128 oz). Well, I have been really thirsty the last couple of days and for today I have already drank about 80 oz of water and a 32 oz Diet Dr. Pepper. Then I read this thing online that said if you drink too much in a short span you can get water intoxication and it can even be fatal. So now I'm worried because I've drank about 110 oz of fluid in the last 6 hours. Is that too much?

I would slow down a little. I drink water all day long. I usually go through about 4 liters a day then a little coffee and tea

Water intoxication is real but easily prevented. Keep food and electrolytes in your system.

An leave off the soda altogether. Drink water continuously trough the day. Don't gulp it.

Get yourself checked for diabetes. Thirst is a major symptom.

110 oz is within the normal range.

Here is a link to a Hydration Calculator.  My registered dietician told me it's pretty accurate.
