My cat has worms.

Fuck. Perfect timing. We just took on another car payment and got a few bills paid off and now I'm gonna be saddled with a huge ass vet bill!

Why, might you ask, would a vet bill be outrageous for a deworming? Well, because I have 5, yes 5, cats. So if one has worms, they allllll go in to get checked and treated if necessary.

FML. That's like a grand when its all said and done. Hopefully I can work out a payment arrangement with them since they know us well.

Idk how she even got the damn worms. They are all flea free, fully vaccinated, never fed raw meat, and they don't go outside. Except for one cat. She goes outside but doesn't ever come inside. She will sleep in the garage if the weather is bad, but she hates coming inside the house.

You can buy dewormer over the counter.  It works too.

I feel ya on the vet bill. We live in HI, and for my male dog to be neutered, it's going to cost almost $900. And, due to health risks, he has to be fixed, and soon. It sucks!

It never worked for the dogs.
I figured it'd be better to just take them in and make absolutely sure they get treated fully.

Thanks though.

Just go to the vet and buy the dewormer. No vet checks required.

They need to be swabbed to see which has worms and which doesn't.
Giving dewormer to a cat without worms can cause serious problems.
