I spent the entire day doing things for/with the kids.
7am I get up and make breakfast. We are at ball games by 9, and get home at about 12. We let them have friends over, so from 12 to 3 I played in the snow with kiddos and their friends. Then we took the friends home. Then we go the dollar store and let them pick toys. We go home and play in the snow some more, then take them to dinner. When we got home at 7, I get a whole long list of gimmies from my oldest, my dd8. Finally I tell her she's not allowed to ask for anything for a half hour while i clean the house. So promptly at 7:30 she asks me to play pet shop with her.
At 9pm I tell her "I am going to bed for some peace and quiet and ME time. You may stay up until 10."
So, she follows me to my room, curls up in my bed with me, and cuddles close.
Me: sweetie whatcha doing?
Dd: having some "me time" with you. You said you wanted alone time, right? I'm going to keep you company.
Ahhhhh!
