So i have a dry erase board. Someone wrote on it with permanent marker. Does anyone know of any way to get it off?

ETA so i dont have a mágic eraser or hair spray or finger nail polish remover. I have rubbing alcohol and qtips and dry erase markers. I tried those. The rubbing alcohol kinda worked but Not really. Anyone else have any other ideas?

Good morning.  I MAKE Sharpies!  Rubbing alcohol, or sometimes hairspray, will remove the permanent ink. The alcohol works best.  I use a spray bottle at work, spraying the alcohol on a cloth.  You will want to use a clean section of cloth each time you get fresh alcohol or you'll just put the ink back on the board.

We always just colored over the permanent.markets with dry erase makers and then used the dry eraser to wipe it off. You may have to do it a few times, but it should come off

1 mom liked this
I would think so. I used a magic eraser and hairspray to take permanent marker off a marble counter top, and an antique wooden desk before.
