I don't have daughters but is be proud if they did.
She is a strong independent secure woman!
How is it her fault that we are uncomfortable with her confidence?!

Lol omg. I don't have a daughter but if i did I would have no problem with her aspiring to be a successful performer/mogul/business woman. Anyway celebrities should not be major influences in a child's life.

I looked up to Buffy when i was younger. I don't have girls though. My six yr old son wants to be an engineer like Howard off the big bang theory. :-)

Wow, I'm amazed at how prude some of you ladies can be!
My daughter is not even 2 yet, so no she does not look up to Beyonce, but I'd be proud if she did. Beyonce is a smart, independent woman. I also see nothing wrong with those outfits, there's a hell of a lot worse out there!
I also will encourage my daughter to look up to lady gaga, as a person, not her music, because I feel she teaches our children to be tolerant of those who are different from us, and to be yourself.
I however will not let her be one of those 8 year old wearing booty shorts and heels, hell, I don't want her wearing those until she's a grown woman!
