4th in the nation. what about you?

My state (Mississippi) ranked 4th in the nation for worst school systems.
Like I didn't already know that. We also have the highest grocery tax, one of the highest in obesity (# 1 last year) and some of the lowest paying jobs.

What about your state? Do you know where your state stands? Are you happy with it or upset?

Me personally I wish we could just pack up and move.

Education Week ranks California 47th overall in how much it spends per student – $8,667 when adjusted for regional cost differences, about $3,000 below the national average of $11,665.

The picture is better in the equity analysis. California ranks 12th on a measure called the wealth-neutrality score.

46th in obesity with 23.8% adults reported to b obese.

I'm in NY.  We rank well for obesity and quite well for education.  I have no idea about good paying jobs, but since NY contains NYC, it's probably very high on the list.

I live in VA ranked 4th but went to public schools in NJ which ranked 8th this year.

I'm in PA. We're 11th in education (where #1 is best), 21st in health (where #1 is healthiest), and 20th in taxes (where #1 is highest).

EDIT: According to the link above me, we're now 18th in education. =(
