If you've had an induction, would you mind answering a few questions?
Would you have an induction again if need be?
How far along were you when you had your induction?
Was it planned very far in advance?
How long did your labor last?
Was it the overnight induction (with cervidil (sp) or the like) or the one you came in for in the morning and just had Pitocin?
Were you dilated before the start of the induction? How far?
Did they offer an Epidural? How long into the induction was it offered?
Did you take the Epi?
Did your induction wind up with a C-Section?
IF YES TO THE C-SECTION:
How long did you labor beforehand?
Were you given the option of the C-sec or was is considered "emergency"?
Would you consider the induction a failure?
*thanks for the time to answer these questions. I may have 1 or 2 more if I can remember them.*

I was induced early with 3 out of 4 of my children. All two weeks early due to a medical condition on my part. They were always done in the morning with Potocin. I had a days notice with each. I never labored more than 4 hours. I was not offered a c-section. I would call them a success except for the epideral not working except with the last one. I hope this helps. If you have any more questions let me know.

How far along were you when you had your induction? 37 weeks
Was it planned very far in advance? The doctor started discussing an induction at 33 weeks when I was placed on bedrest. The goal was always to make it to 37 weeks.
How long did your labor last? 24 hours from the placement of the cervidil, 16 hours from the start of pitocin.
Was it the overnight induction (with cervidil (sp) or the like) or the one you came in for in the morning and just had Pitocin? I had cervidil the night before, but I didn't stay overnight at the hospital that night.
Were you dilated before the start of the induction? How far? No, I wasn't dilated.
Did your induction wind up with a C-Section? no. I had a vaginal delivery.

I was induced with my first... the doctors insisted.
I was 11 days overdue, it was not planned.
Labour lasted 4.5 hrs.
I was in the hospital overnight, but was not actually induced until the next morning. I was put on the drip.
I think I was 1 cm dialated when they put me on the drip (can't really remember!).
Didn't have a C-section.
And although this wasn't asked, I'm just going to mention-- I didn't have an epidural, I only used gas and air as pain meds. BIG mistake, it was horrible. But when I asked for an epidural they said I had to wait because they weren't going to check to see how far along I was for a few hours. By the time they checked, I was 9.5 cm (it all went pretty fast!) and by then it was too late.
Also, after the placenta was delivered I asked to see it, and the midwives showed me were parts of the placenta had started to die... I don't regret having the induction when I did.
How far along were you when you had your induction? 42 weeks
Was it planned very far in advance? No, it was planned 3 days before the induction because of placental calcification. I went to the ob every 3 days because of being overdue and went in because I wasn't feeling much movement.
How long did your labor last? About 12 hours start to delivery.
Was it the overnight induction (with cervidil (sp) or the like) or the one you came in for in the morning and just had Pitocin? I came in at 5 am for pitocin.
Were you dilated before the start of the induction? How far?.I believe I had been at one cm for weeks, no progress.
Did your induction wind up with a C-Section? No, I did have a 4th degree episiotomy but delivered vaginally.
