I started at six months. He got a sippy cup of water with a juice ice cube in it once a day. Once he mastered holding it, I phased bottles out.  He was off a bottle and using only his sippy cup by 10 months.

We never used a bottle, she was breastfed, but we introduced a sippy cup around 8 months. She uses then just fine now at 19 months.

But from what I've heard from a lot of bottle feeding moms is to just throw the bottles away

Around 16/17 months. We weaned down to just a bottle before bed and then finally stopped that. Worked well

My 3 dds all by the age of one. My son on the other hand, the second child was a much harder. He would take the girls bottles and hide.

she was 10 months. Which is a good thing, cause at midnight on her first birthday, I threw every single bottle and pacifier in the trash.
she just kinda did it on her own. took her a bit, she thought it was weird at first lol but she liked how the cups looked.

First birthday. You take it away, don't let them decide. My kids were using sippy cups between 6-9 months.

When they turned a year old I took the bottle away and gave them sippy cups

11 mos...

We threw them all out cold turkey...I introduced the cup at 7 mos. My opinion that's the best way.
