In a little more than a month, Daylight Saving Time begins. But if one Florida state senator has his way, this will be the last year of Daylight Saving Time.

Senator Darren Soto is proposing the Sunshine Protection Act. He claims the change would boost the tourism industry, with more sun earlier in the day.

IN 2013 DST begins on March 10 when we "spring forward" one hour.  It ends on November 3 when we "fall back" one hour.

On a typical June day, sunrise is around 6:30 a.m. and sunset is around 8:30 p.m.  The proposed change means sunrise would be around 5:30 a.m., with sunset at roughly 7:30 p.m.

Local 6 did reach out to some tourism officials, and while all declined to officially comment, they did seem skeptical that such a change would offer any benefit.

What do you think? Do you like DST? Do you think its good?

I honestly dont like DST because it doesnt make sense.
