Poll

Question: Is what is good for the goose good for the gander?

Options:

BF should tell BM too bad so sad, should have scheduled the wedding on one of HER weekends

Hey, she can act whatever way she wants, she is BM! BF needs to suck it up and deal

BM may be being an ass but it's up to BF to be the bigger person or he's to blame

Let me take the time to read the actual post thoroughly and I might have a different answer....

Ok seriously, I think the answers are going to be biased towards BM but here goes anyway.

1. DH just had a MANDATORY TRAINING trip for his JOB that he was not in charge of scheduling that fell on his weekend with SS.

2. When he asked BM to let him see SS the weekend right before or the weekend right after BM said no and when presented on here everyone said it was DH's own fault he was missing the visit and why should BM say yes to the weekends before or after just to accomodate DH.

OK! Well now BM is getting married on DH's weekend to have SS!!!

SHOULD Dad say too bad, you should have scheduled it for a weekend you had him Mom?

Mandatory job training = too bad Dad, should have told boss no or picked a different job.

WHAT IF it were DH getting married on BMs weekend? Too bad Dad, should have scheduled it for a weekend you had SS?

**ETA...DH is NOT going to keep SS from BM's wedding. And for the rest of you DIMWITS I THE SM don't care WHAT DH decides, yes or no. NOT MY KID, NOT MY PROBLEM.

So you think that it is more important to stick to the stepmother because she stuck it to your husband, than it is to do what is best for the child. Unfortunately, the only way to stick to the stepmother is to hurt the child.

I don't think it is worth hurting a child to get even with an adult. It is clear that you are fine with hurting a child to satisfy your grudge.

This is hysterical, the ones that think BM shouldn't get a dose of her own medicine dance around it by saying the poor kid has immature parents.

Quoting AngeLnChainZ:

Childish bullshit on both parts, being spiteful will get you nowhere but to a point where the child hates both as soon as he's old enough to realize whats going on. Be an adult, suck it up and deal with it.

I feel bad for this little boy. You Obviously could give two shits less for him, all you want is revenge on the bm. Have you even asked him if he'd like to go to the wedding? Probably not. You just want to fuck her over like she did to your husband. Too bad none of you can act like adults and put this child first.

What does SS want?  If SS wants to go then I would let him, otherwise this.....

Ya, but you or Bf can't control what she does, or how she treats SS. you can only control your own actions. Be a good example for SS. That will go a long way in his eyes instead of the petty bullshit.

I have no idea, wish BM would try it!!

What's wrong with just being the bigger person and setting a good example for your son?

I have read every single relpy you have posted on here an NOT ONCE have you mentioned your ss feelings or what is best for HIM. All you seem to be concerned about is your husband's rights and one uping bm. Time to sort out your priorities. It isn't about winning, especially when the child is the loser in your game of revenge.

Yes she should, but why use the child? Why not get revenge another way? Why keep putting the child in the middle if your bullshit

too bad mom.... she couldn't accomodate something out of dh control, why should he accomodate something completely in her control. had she asked in advance, then it may be a different story. when ss bm got married, she did not have weekend time with ss (her choice) and didn't ask dh until THE NIGHT BEFORE to bring ss to her wedding. dh had to work so he said he couldn't. she didn't bother to have a reletive (who lives literally one street over from us) bring ss to her wedding so he missed it. she has never let us forget that. bitch.

If that is the way the game is going to be played...and the BM can't be an adult and look out for the best interest of the child...then it would be too bad she should have picked her weekend to get married on.  Maybe with a no way she will wake up and cooperate with him when he needs to change a weekend due to work beyond his control.
