name prejudice

I've been thinking a lot about names recently and was curious - are there any names you're prejudice against? Obviously, it's not fair to judge someone based on their name, but have you ever had a bad encounter with someone and a particular name makes you think of them?

for me it's -

Paul - There was a Paul in my neighborhood when I was younger and he was very creepy towards me, to the point that I wasn't allowed to play outside if he was near the house.

Jessica (spelling doesn't matter) - I've known about eight girls named Jessica and they have all been catty jerks. A few of them were friends, who turned into gossips and drama queens. A few were random girls in school, who dressed provocatively and spread rumors. One was a cousin, who is self-absorbed and childish. I just cannot for the life of me, stand the name Jessica.

Nevaeh - I worked with at risk kids and I thought this was the worst name. I didn't see it so much as a reflection of the kid, because the children were all young, but I thought it said a lot about the parents. In general, the kids named Nevaeh, came from trashy broken homes.

When I think of certain names I think it can bring back a memory of something wether it be bad or good, but I don't think It would make me change my mind if I really liked the name.  Unless the memory was terrible, then I could make an exception

Paul - all wimpy
Jason - undisciplined & brattish
Cayla - helpless & pathetic
Darren - spoiled
Sarah - overused
I guess 20 years of teaching leaves a prejudice or two!
