My DH has a beloved recliner that was his papaws... It's old but for the most part in great condition. Today I noticed a small tear in the arm, I know DH doesn't want a new one and probably won't until it literally falls apart lol. Anyone know how to repair tears in leather furniture before it gets worse?

I have heard that you can place a piece of cotton cloth over the tear and iron over the spot, and it will fuse the leather together. If it's a tear where the leather is worn away, you can purchase leather patches.
