Ok so my dd is doing a project on anne frank for her biography report. Her teacher wants them to be creative and dress up like the person they are doing the report on. Would you think it was offensive if i sewed a mock star on her sweater and had her explain the signifigance of it to the kids. And if you have any ideas please let me know. Not trying to offend that is why i am asking. Thanks:)

I don't at all, especially if she's going to properly explain the significance.

No, if it offends then someone is too uptight.

I agree, a yellow star would not only be historically accurate, but it would invite the topic of how Jewish Europeans were identified and treated differently. You could also write in black 'jew' on the star, in a language other than english (german?). And don't forget the plaid diary!
