Keep your a** out of my yard

He is sweet and I love him but he is trampling my daffodil bulbs!

Yes I am talking about a donkey. My neighbors to be exact, we have a gate that goes between our yards and he knows how to open it. Yes we have tried different ways of latching it.

Now that I am done laughing it occurred to me that my DHs bestfriend has a donkey named Henry. By any chance is this Henry?

Have you tried sling shooting some clumps of dirt or acorns or something equally undamaging on the Ass? We had a squirrel problem a few years ago and I told my DD and my best friends DS to go outside with my sling shots and practice. Those kids can hit a bulls eye from about 35 yards and moving targets? Forget about it.

Also, try to coat the gate with vinegar, or make a paste with bleach or something that is strong smelling and foul. Get an electrified fense for her side to keep the donkey from opening the latch. If you want to use the gate, you can turn the current off or disrupt it by whatever means you have in place for safety reasons. Just a few ideas, I hope you figure this one out because donkeys love to eat daffodils. Good luck!
