Are these sentences/words typical for a 4 1/2 Yr old to say? Or are they akward or precocious? These are examples but he normally talks like this.
• Your scanner is damaged. You need to get it repaired.
• All the planets must have moons, I think.

Normal. My dd is 3 1/2 and can locate South America on a map, said she wants to wear a certain pair of shoes because they're more stylish than sneakers, says the boys in her class just can't behave themselves, tells me which animals hibernate, talks about nocturnal animals, so, yeah, it's about normal.

Haha, my son is 4.5 and says some pretty fascinating stuff. "mommy, the filament in the lightbulb is burnt out". Kids are amazing, he sounds very normal.
