I was just reading about this, and while it's no big deal to me, I don't see how it will save our little rural post office money. If they will still deliver packages on Saturdays, it defeats the purpose. Let's say I'm getting a package on Saturday, the mail carrier has to drive the 12 miles from town to my house to deliver it, then someone 12 miles on the other side of town gets one, and they're off that way...crazy.

There will be a much lesser asking if workers to pay that day. My x gets paid $32/hour. There are thousands of postal carriers working that day. That's a lot of pay being cut.
