*PIC* Do you think she would jump?

I live on the second floor of an apartment. My puppy loves it outside. But I'm afraid to let her out on the balcony because I'm scared she would try to jump and get down. While we sat out there the most she did was stick her head through the rails looking around. So are dogs smart enough to know they can't jump safely like that?

my rotti/boxer mix never tried to jump when we lived on the 2nd floor. Though, my sils dumbass chihuahua/min pin mix tried to, and she successfully jumped out a moving vehicle once. So idk

Most dogs won't attempt a jump like that. They are not built like cats. If it's less than a few feet off the ground , they usually don't attempt it.

I think most dogs have a proper sense of knowing what they can and cannot do.  Some don't, like a lot of humans.
