Both my boys are at the same school. And they both need to dress as a character from a book. I would like to put a bit more effort into it than, them just wearing spider/iron man costumes. I'm just open for any ideas. Ps if I don't quote or like your idea, it doesn't mean I have ignored you. :)

How old are they?

Harry Potter is always an easy one.

Do you have any costumes you can already use? My daughter had to do this and choose to read a book about an indian girl since she had the costume already. It was easier to find a book to fit the costume, than make a costume fit a book.

My boys were Thing 1 and Thing 2 one year for this.  Our school says no comic book people anyway.....

We ve read lots of books. I cannot think of a perticular favourite. I must admit I haven't looked through their books yet. I thought I'd chuck it out in here first, because I've seen some good ideas on here before.

one could dress as "Andrew" from Judy Blume's 'Freckle Juice' and you could put purple eyeliner dots on his face :)

That was the first thing that popped into my head.
