problem with using pet names? or maybe i am just weird...

Does anyone else have any problems using them? I mean I don't mind being called baby, honey, darling, sweetheart. But for some reason I can't bring myself to use them for other people. Other then DD.

Lol I know strange, and pointless. Enjoy my confession of the day though I know it is no fun.

nah, the  only people I know that rate "honey, sweetie, or babe/baby" are my dh and kids.

I've never used them romantically, but I do a lot of bless your heart'ing and 'oh honey'ing and occasionally darling, usually to people I know unless it's in Louisiana where everyone's name is either honey, darling, or sweety so I feel weird NOT saying it

Your not alone. I call my kids hunny, sweetie, baby and my dh hun sometimes. I do call my Dd bug. I call everyone else by there names. Idk why but it feels weird to call ppl other.then my kids and dh anything but their name.

My kids and husband are always called by 'pet names' pretty much.  I never call anybody else any pet names.

I use nicknames for my kids but DH and I usually call each other babe. I call my youngest dd, jew-jew bee. Her name is Julia. I'm sure she will hate me for it later on. :)
