 I had a male beagle and two toddler boys. He had always been hostile to my husband but never to my kids he loved them more than himself. Anyway when we got him we didnt have him fixed because we felt no reason to. I came home one day and found my pooch humping (yes humping with an erecetion and all) my three year ols son who was lying underneathe him laughing. I instantly took him off and took my kids into the other room. I asked my oldest son if this had happened before and he said it happened everytime they played with him.  Neutering yes or yes?

Lol! I had my dog fixed at 5 years old. He never humped my kids, but his pillow....yeah.... it didn't help, lol.

Yes neuter him (always neuter), but he may also have dominance issues and will need to be retrained who is boss in your home.

You should have him neutered no matter what. But humping your child means that he is dominating him, it's behavioral. It sounds like he is dominant  to your husband also.

Humping is a dominance thing, not a sexual thing. I would neuter him because I would have anyway but you still need to train him that he is below your sons on the family heirarchy

Uhhhhhhhh... My spayed female dog vigorously humps things as does my neutered rescue dog. Its about dominance not sex. Chopping the dogs balls off won't alter his brain

My male dog is 2 & was neutered just before we got him almost a year ago & has never had issues.

Now my female dog we use to have... we got her at 6 months & she was spayed & humped one specific stuffed animal! Sadly it was a tiger my brother had gotten for my newborn son 3 years after we got her (the dog)!
