Appropriate shirt for a five year old?

I thought this shirt was really cute, but when I put it on my daughter, I couldn't help but feel that it was inappropriate. I can't really explain why, maybe the the straps and small v-cut neckline, it just did not sit right with me.

So, someone tell me I am insane :)

Make the straps a little smaller so its not showing..."cleavage" area. A quick stitch or safety pis would do the trick.

Its cute, but maybe a t-shirt with short sleeves under it. A pink or baby blue one to match the colors on the shirt.

I'd buy an undershirt but I feel it's slightly inappropriate as well

I don't like the shirt it looks like a teeny booper shirt.

It's cute but too low. Maybe a tank under it would work

It's a cute shirt. Maybe pair it with a spaghetti strap so that it doesn't look as low. That's what I do with shirts like that for my daughter.

I agree with an undershirt, or tightening the straps in the back so it sits higher in the front.

I wouldn't put it on my 5 year old, but I hear that I'm ultra-conservative when it comes to my children's clothing.  nothing sheer, no straps thinner than the width of my hand, if their arms are above their heads and their tummy shows it's too small, and all shorts and skirts must be at least as long as their fingertips when standing straight up with their arms to their sides.

there's nothing inherently wrong with the top, I just think it looks a bit older than a 5 year old needs to look.  it would be cute in the summer when she's an inch or two taller so the bodice comes up higher.

You could put an undershirt on. I think it's cute.
