I'd think he'd either escort you or call you an ambulance, given the circumstances I don't see how they'd be able to write a woman in labor a ticket lol

Not sure if they could ticket you or what they would do. BUT I wouldn't give the cop time to ask for your license or insurance, as soon as he walked up to the car, just shout, I"m in labor!! He will either escort you to the hospital, or take you himself, or call an ambulance. He'll be too distracted by you being in labor to think about a ticket.

Depends on the cop.  My friend's husband was driving her to the hospital while she was in labor (with kids in the car).  Got pulled over for speeding and he had a suspended license (for DUI).  The cop went crazy and was screaming at her husband and almost arrested him but then decided to let him go and just told my friend that she had to drive or call an ambulance.

But yeah, if I were alone and in labor and had no license I'd call an ambulance.

Lol. People saying a cop would escort you. They don't do that. Get real.

Call a taxi and plan better next time. If you need a csection or the baby needs nicu care you're facing some major bills.

That is sooo crappy! I am paying for my whole pregnancy (delievery included) with no insurance and couldnt afford to call a ambulance. :(

When I was in labor my husbsand got pulled over for speeding.  We explained I was in labor and he still went about his business and slowly gave my husband a ticket, then let us go.

wow thats messed up.

You would get ticket and fined the car impounded, possibly arrested so when you show up to labor and delivery via ambulance you might also have a police escort. I know this from when I was working in the medical field and saw it happen.

He would call you an ambulance and he may or may not decide to issue you a citation.

You'd likely get escorted instead. I think they make an exception in true emergency situations, but you might get a ticket anyways since you could call an ambulance, but if you wouldn't have a way home afterwards without driving yourself in you'd probably be fine.
