What happens if your child is has an injury? My son got hurt and we took him to the ER and after all the tests the 5 hour visit was over $9,000. I was very thankful we only had a $300 co-pay.

What does that mean?

My DH has a GREAT job. But the insurance is way expensive. Although we could get it - we choose to just pay our if pocket when we go to the DR. We still take care of our kids - we are responsible also even without it????

Quoting SweetPea2004:

Yes I am responsible

I've got dental.

My husband and children have medical and dental.

For me to get insured through his job would be a additional 300$ a month towards what we pay for the children now. I could pay the 300$, but then I wouldn't be able to pay for so much as a co-pay for anyone, if they needed to actually go to the doctor.

I've never used the ER for myself. I pay out of pocket cash(and it's way cheaper than insurance)if I need to see the doctor.

Yes, but it's a limited plan. They cover everything real well....BUT since its limited, it's very possible we will use our allotment before the year is up.
