assuming hurts.......

My DH and I adopted a baby boy last october. My DH and I are both white and our son has very dark skin (hes black) Its pretty much been that talk of the whole town that I cheated on my DH with a black man. It hurts alot that people would think I would do something like that and what hurts even more is the first thing people notice is my sons skin is diffrent then ours. Why does it even matter what his skin looks like. It bugs me that people still think that way.
If it were me, I'd get my one of my hottest black male friends and go sit in the center of the local bar holding hands all night! : D
They're talking anyway, might as well mess with them a little and have fun!!

Didn't you tell people you were adopting though?

I dont know why I even let it bother me. I know I should just say fuck it, but I guess it hard to just know people say that stuff about me and my family. Yes we told family and friends and the church.

Fuck everyone and their assumptions. As long as you and your DH know the truth, it's ok.
