So this morning we were running around trying to get ready for dd birthday..I needed one last touch for her cake and asked dh to melt the chocolate so I can write happy birthday with it..I have a bowl I use told him to use it..he decided to use a different bowl and completely burnt the chocolate I mean turned purple chocolate black..tried everything but the smell won't disappear..any ideas tried opening doors but it freezing and our windows don't really open.. The purple writing was what I was trying to do in chocolate after scrapping enough to make I broke the bi part of birthday carrying the cake in.

In the summer my son put a freezie wrapper in the oven. I didnt see it until my kitchen filled with smoke. I used alot of scented candles and opened the windows. It took a few days for the smell to go out even after that :(

Good luck

Febreeze. The spray for the air. I have yet to find a stink it hasn't gotten rid of.

Did you make the cake??  It looks fantastic!!  As for the smell, maybe if you heat up some lemon or orange peels, it might help.
