We choose our parents before we are born? OP EDIT MY OWN OPINION PLEASE READ
To explain in my own words - I believe in guides, angels and the higher universe. I do not believe there is one god, This is hard to get across to people but to me it makes perfect sense so bare with me. In my belief we have many guides that take turns in different times in our lives to guide us through and make the decisions that are best for us. we all have access to angels - they can only help if you ask them too and if we do ask they will help. The hardest part is i "know" I cannot tell you if it will rain, if the world will end or if you will die but For example right now all my body, soul and mind is telling me is it is time for another child, a little girl is trying to get through she wants to be be born but by my own free will right now I am not allowing this. I could ask her to leave and find someone else but I cannot do that I feel her, dream about her and hold her in my heart every waking moment. It is becoming very hard to turn her down - this is the high level I talk about I know things and people think I am crazy. Its not just baby fever. I know her name and what she will look like. It's very strong, it very hard to get across to people, this little girl has chosen me, I have chosen her. We are bonded by a connection I cannot explain. I know you think I am crazy but the truth is I am not. I had the same with my son. I knew what I age I would have him, I was told clear as day and yes I was right.
I know I was sent here to help people and I would love to help anyone who asks.
So what are your thoughts?
Question: I know you’vepreviously stated that a reincarnated soul chooses their own parents, but do you (as a soul) ever get to choose the soul of your potential children? Do souls get together and plan like that, or is it much like real life and you just end up withwho you end up with?
Answer: As you mentioned, I wrote an article in the past called Picking Our Parents and Life Circumstances which discusses the process by which we select suitable parents who will help us accomplish our goals in life, either by being great models of what we are to learn or by challenging us. But do parents choose their kids too?
I’ve learned a lot about how this works while doing intuitive readingsfor people, because I can see the circumstances surrounding impending births. In fact, while we always choose our parents and life situation, we don’t always choose what children we will have. I’ve seen several variations in the ether.
The first situation I’ll describe is when you and your child’s soul choose each other before you’re both born. So both of your souls are in the ether and you make a deal, a contract, a decision that one of you will be the parent and one of you will be the child. The parent soul incarnates, does their thing, and when the time comes, if the circumstances are still right, the child soul will become your child (either through pregnancy or adoption, it will get to you somehow!). Deal done.
In the second situation I’ve seen, an incarnated person makes a contract with a soul that has yet to incarnate. You probably don’t do this consciously, though I’ve known people who were aware of their contracts even though they were already incarnated. Usually it’s your higher self or the child’s guides who work out the arrangements, much as I described in my article on Choosing Your Parents. In this case, the child sort of has the upper hand because they chose you, and you are not consciously choosing this particular soul, but are instead trusting your higher self and guides to find an appropriate soul to be your child.
I’ve also had people ask me during readingsif they are destined to have children. In some cases I can see they’vemade a contract with a child before incarnating so I tell them that yes, indeed, there is a child contracted to come to you. I can usually pick up on details around the arrangement, like why they chose you as a parent and what they’re waiting for.
I’vealso read for people that have no contract with a child soul at all. In this case, you’ve decided to incarnate but did not decide in advance if you yourself would someday be a parent. It becomes a choice for you later. If you decide you want a child, you request one from the ether. One may not come to you, though. Again, circumstances have to be right for the child to choose you as its parent. If a child does come to you, it has been deemed appropriate by the child’s soul, your higher self, and the guides. If you decide you don’t want a child, you’re not breaking any karmic contracts by refusing to have children.
Does the child have a contract withjust one parent or both? In some cases I’veseen that the child appears to have a contract withjust one parent, but the circumstances are just fine withthe other soon-to-be parent as well. Sometimes during readings I have said, “Oh this is your challenging child, the one you have karma to work out with.” And my sitter usually confirms that they are aware of their particular “issues” and that the other parent doesn’tseem to have the same issues to work out withthat child. However, sometimes the contract is made with both parents. I usually only see that when the contract is made after the two parents are together.
Can contracts be broken? You betcha! Remember, once we incarnate, we have free will. You can decide you don’t want to fulfill a contract with a child. I see it all the time. Life can be very challenging and you may decide that bringing a child into the world isn’t in your or its best interests. Sometimes the child decides to break the contract because your life circumstances have changed to the point where it doesn’tthink it’s going to learn the lessons it wants to learn. No hard feelings here, though. The child will find other suitable parents or decide to skip incarnating. If you have a soul connection with the child, you’ll see it again when you disincarnate.
What about siblings? Do they choose to incarnate together? Yes, I see this frequently too. In fact, I knew that both of my children had chosen to incarnate as siblings. They have a contract with each other to go through life as siblings. Their spiritual bond is very strong, there is some reason they chose to incarnate together. Sometimes siblings don’t have a contract though. The dynamics of this are wide and varied.
While we’re on the subject, sometimes I see deceased family members holding babies. It took a while for me to discern whether these were babies destined to become family members or deceased babies who maybe died in utero, were aborted, or who died as infants. I still get confused sometimes. If you have lost a baby, trust me when I tell you that your baby is not alone in the ether. He or she is withfamily or with angels, or perhaps even waiting for another chance at being a member of your family. And yes, sometimes babies that don’t make it through the first time come back at a more suitable time.
If you are having difficulty getting pregnant or otherwise having a child, please consider that you either have no contract with a child, or the timing simply isn’t right for a child. It could also be that your guides haven’t found the right child for you. Work on becoming a vibrational match for this desire if you’re not already. And be sure to watch for signs that maybe you’re supposed to adopt or become a foster parent, etc. There are many ways to be a parent, and there are so many children out there in need of love.
Dreams of your future children are common too. It’s their way of saying, “I’m coming! Please wait for me.” Or in some cases, “Can you please have sex? Give me a shot for Heaven’s sake!”
I mentioned that before you incarnate you pick your parents and your life circumstances. People always ask me why someone would choose to be born into a poor family, or into an abusive home, if indeed we are allowed to select our own situation. Here is the explanation.
Imagine you are back in the ether and you’re getting ready to design your next life. To use an analogy, you are handed a form with checkboxes for the kind of life you want to have. You fill out the paperwork indicating you want to focus on learning compassion, perseverance, and kindness. You also decide you want to have a large impact on the planet instead of just living in your quiet little corner of the globe. You turn in your paperwork to the wise Rishi whose job it is to help you find a life situation you can be born into so that you will learn these things.
Using his vast ethereal computer, he inputs all your preferences and the computer spits out 20 families who have the exact life situation you would need in order to learn compassion, perseverance, and kindness. Using other parameters, such as who you’d like to marry, their location, and the political climate surrounding these families, the computer narrows the choice down to 10. He narrows the search further by analyzing the families’ current financial situation and the computer spits out 2 families. He hands you the information on each family with a projection for how likely it is that you will succeed in learning compassion, perseverance, and kindness, and you read it carefully.
You discover that both families currently live in poverty, but one is in America and one is in Croatia. The American family has 4 other children, and the Croatian family has 1. You can see both families struggle with finances. But the American parents are at a consciousness level of anger and are sometimes abusive towards their children. The Croatian parents are very loving and confident they will make something of their lives and be able to provide well for their children. You can see that in both cases the likelihood of you learning compassion, perseverance and kindness is very high. One of the children in the American family is a soul you recognize from a previous incarnation. You don’t recognize the Croatian souls from any of your incarnations.
Your final decision is to be born into the American family even though you know you will suffer terrible abuses. You feel certain that the adversities you face in childhood will help you learn compassion for others, how to persevere in the face of adversity, and the kindness towards others that your parents could not demonstrate to you. It will be a good life.
The Rishi makes the arrangements; your future parents accidentally get pregnant (darn condoms that break!) and in you go. The veil is drawn and you are off on another adventure. Will you succeed? Will you learn? Will you raise your level of consciousness? That remains to be seen.
Now obviously there are thousands of parameters for choosing a family and life situation so the above scenario is a vast oversimplification of the process. But hopefully you get the idea.
When you are in the ether you remember that you are a part of consciousness and that you are being sent out into the world to experience, learn, and grow. You know that physical life is temporary, and that the pain and adversity you face as a physical being is but a moment in your existence. Why do people choose to enter a life that is filled with pain and torment? Because from the perspective of the ether, any pain or adversity is but a blip of discomfort in the grand scheme of things. It’s like asking if you are willing to suffer a paper cut in order to gain vast wisdom and knowledge and tremendous personal growth. When we incarnate, we forget that, so yeah, it can be extremely difficult to understand why horrible things happen to you and even more disconcerting to think you chose for it to happen! This is why I feel it is so important to remember where we came from. When you remember that this life is temporary and that your goal is growth, it can make even the most horrible conditions bearable. Just look at Nelson Mandela. With all that he suffered, to come out of that experience with his spirit intact, and able to make a profound difference in the lives of his people, you can see how even severe adversity may be required in order to make an impact on our planet.
When you choose your parents and your life situation you are giving yourself an opportunity. What you do with that opportunity is entirely up to you. Don’t waste any of the life you’ve chosen. Learn from every experience.
