Do you think a good mom can raise a bad kid?

I used to think no.  That people who grew up to be psycho or abusive had to have a terrible upbringing.  But it's eerie to me how children in the same family can be so different.  One with compassion and another down right sadistic.  So even though kids in the same family may be raised and treated a bit differently, I think there are some random inherent qualities beyond nurture.  I hope nurture can still overcome those somehow if the parents are really aware and proactive.

No I don't have a "bad" kid so no need to bash me, but I have "bad" relatives so I have a fear they could inherit some psycho gene despite all my best efforts.
