My family and I made the Vegan jump...

After much discussion and consideration we decided to become Vegan. So far I've managed to replace my meatloaf, found a great recipe for shepherd's pie, and tonight I tried stroganoff.

We just got to the point where we couldn't ethically continue such destructive behavior at the expense of other people and creatures. I think it's important to teach my kids to think about what they put in their bodies and consider something other than if it tastes good.

I've replaced all the household items with friendlier products. So I'm pretty optimistic about how this will turn out.

When you say you want your kids to consider other things than taste, are you meaning all your food tastes like shit now?

To consider also if it is good for them and the world they live in.

Good for you. You're going to feel so much better. People don't appreciate just how awful all the animal protein makes them feel until they replace it with real food.

We are working more and more toward being vegan but will never be fully vegan.
