My dog has recently started turning aggressive. What can I do? She just tried biting me 3 times last night and she bit dh a couple weeks ago. She's about 18 months. Maybe a little older. She's a mutt, not sure which breed she is.

I bet the issue is she isn't fixed and maybe going into heat.

1 mom liked this
I would knock the s**t outta her. If she does it again,.....even growled at me, she'd be gone. Maybe even less chances when the kids are small. She could turn on them and really do a lot of damage. Children are more imprtant the some dang dog. On the farm we put down uncontrollable animals. It's just the way it is.

Are you pregnant? My old dog suddenly started trying to attack me when I got pregnant. If I touched my husband or got near him, he'd growl menacingly and lunge towards me.

At least he's happy with a new home now. Lots of space to run and be a dog.

Are you sure she's not playing. Puppies are extremely rambunctious. You have to set boundaries with her though. We popped ours on the nose and would say no in a stern voice. (Not popping hard enough to hurt him, just get his attention) Our dog is a well behaved 7y/o pitbull collie mix. He's helped us raise our two boys and teach them to respect animals.
