you are in early labor and dh has the flu ~ a WWYD? post

my cousin is past her due date and although in a lot of discomfort, not yet in labor, but it will be soon

she is hoping it will wait until her dh is done having the flu. and yes, he has THAT flu, the bad one going around.

he cannot even go on the mat floor of the hospital and wont be able to be at the birth if he isnt better by then, ok i understand that.

my question is, if he is at their house all sick and shit, should she be bringing baby home right away?

it just doesnt seem like a good idea?

i personally would have sent my dh elsewher until he was better, and made sure to bleach everything, if he had THAT flu near my due date.

i feel bad for her :-( 

WWYD? any advice i can pass along to her?

I have no idea what THAT flu is but if he's not better by the time she's ready to bring baby home, I'd think about staying else where until he was well and able to sanitize the house.

He needs to go stay in a hotel. I hate to say that but its him or the baby. Bleach and lysol that house top to bottom. Help her out with it cause too much could send her into labor

I wouldn't send my hubs out of the house. I would take the normal precautions. Hand washing, he wouldn't hold the little one and on his own he would stay in bed be ause that's wot he does when he is sick.

I wouldn't bring a baby into. That house until it was sanitized from top to bottom and no one else was sick.

I would either go to a family members house or barracade him to one room and sanitize like CRAZY.
