They are not the same!

My child's father refuses to consent to testing for our five year old to check for Autism. He says that since his 8 year old has Autism than he knows our 5 year old doesn't. He says that ADHD is probably what is wrong with him, but the a$$ won't help his son!! I tried to explain to him that his doctor wants the tests done and that his children are not the same. I told him that there are varying degrees of Autism and our son is a lot like his older brother in many ways. I have half a mind to go against the custody order and have the doctors do the tests. Why can't he help his son?

Why do you need his consent to have a test done on a child that YOU GAVE BIRTH TO????????

Screw THAT..............Go ahead have the test done yourself

It is in the court order that we cannot do any non-emergancy medical decisions without the other parent agreeing.

Go to the court and get an order. This way, you are not going against orders.

I'd be taking him back to court I guess.
