I was burned by a swimming pool UPDATE

We are contacting the hotel because they need to close the pool IMMEDIATELY and will probably contact the local health department so they can check. The posted bromine content could not have possibly been accurate. They NEED to check it.
I'm just so angry. This crap hurts.
UPDATE: We contacted the health department Monday. We hadn't heard anything all week. Well, today, Thursday, the health inspector emailed to let us know the hotel had been working with them since Monday and that the bromine levels were so elevated, the only way to correct it was to completely drain and refill the pool. It was closed Monday and did not reopen until today.
My husband thinks I should contact the hotel's corporate offices. I think that, since its been correcte and I have healed and am fine, all is well and we should just feel good that we prevented anyone else from getting hurt.

They're chemical burns. It is caused by exposure to caustic chemicals. An over chlorinated or ovet brominated pool is dangerous. That's why you'll see lifeguards checking chemical levels hourly in a well maintained pool.

No that's because they don't have lifeguards.
Quoting Kaelaasmom:That's why those pools are "swim at your own risk." I hope you feel better.
