I want a tongue ring but I am worried it would look trashy I got a 100 bucks for my birthday back in November and I loaned it out and I'm just getting it back and I'm thinking about getting it done. I'm going to college and looking for job currently. I think something simple would be cute. With the money I could get it done get the stuff to keep it clean buy a retainer and then one or two cheep cute rings..

What do you think of tongue rings?

Some places of employment do not allow their employees to wear tongue rings at work. It's something to keep in mind.

Shrugs. People will claim trashy. I happen to have one. Once it's fully healed it can come out without it closing up for short periods of time. I've had my for three years. I've gone weeks without it in. Then random will put one in.

My sister had one. I never really even noticed.

I don't think tongue rings ever look cute but besides that, if you're in college you are going to need all of the money you can get and this just seems like a waste. It's possible that you won't find a job, so you'll appreciate having it around for books or other expenses.

Don't do it! I have several chipped teeth from when I had mine and I really regret it now.
