He slapped me!!! - He told me why - update

M dh came home from work grumpy today. I asked him what he wanted to do for v-day and he screamed shut and slapped me across the face! He's never even raised his voice to me before this. 

I don't know what to do

He just came in and said he was sorry. He was laid off today and he feels like less of a man if he can't provide for his family and then he slapped me and really proved it. He said he'd see me when I called him and forgave him. He just walked out the door. 

Now I REALLY don't know what to do!

My son called him and screamed at him, threatened to kill him and my dh cried and begged for forgiveness from both of us. Tonight he's definitely gone. We will see how I feel after a night of careful thought

wow...sorry. it sounds like that came out of nowhere. i would be leaving for right now. maybe once he cools down yall can sit and talk. i would be letting him know that if it happens again i would be GONE FOR GOOD!

Why would he slap you for No apparent reason? He must have been pissed about something. What an ass. I'd definitely walk away before it escalates.

What are you going to do now? I don't think I'd stay with dh if he hit me. In fact I know I wouldn't. I wouldn't put up with that whatever the reason, however upset he was, there's just no reason to do that.
