My confession...I want

A mom. I'm a younger female and I really want someone my age or older, preferably older, to care about me. And support me, sometimes fuss at me, and nurture me. Pretty much be a motherly figure. I feel like a freak.

I'm so grateful that my stepmom is so amazing because my mom is a horrible disappointmentin that department. It's embarrassing to think of the lengths that I've gone to to get that woman to love me, all for nothing.

Me too.
My own mother did terrible things which I will not get into right now, but needless to say she has been out of my life for 10 years now.

I miss having that special connection with someone.

I never wanted someone to mother me, but I always wanted someone to mentor me.  I wanted someone who seemed wise to tutor me in the ways of the world.  This has caused me to make some bad decisions in my romantic relationships when all I wanted was a platonic "Master" (in a samurai sense).

My mom was never really a mother...

My ex's mom has been wonderful to me the past 8 years. She has been like a mom to me and I see her more than my bio mom...but it's still not quite the same. Ex's mom has taught me sooo much and has amazing advice.

I envy women who are close to their mothers. I want my kids to come to me and talk to me. I hope they have the relationship with me that I always wanted with my own mother.
