If a bio dad never ever pays child support, does anything ever happen with it? Right now my ex owes me over 7000 dollars

I'm owed way more..and after years and years of court. I give up. He can run just but so long. I think you actually have to pursue him in court and even then, he can still evade paying even if they lock him up and he gets out.

Here, they suspend your license, take your taxes, and after so long you get jail time. If the woman files for any state help they go after the father. As a way to help save the state money. If you file on your own, its difficult, if you go on PA, they find him quick fast and in a hurry and make him pay

how can something happen with money that isn't there?  my ds's father never paid a dime in 18yrs....if he didn't have it to give to me, he spent it on himself, i assume.

A couple of years ago I did get his tax return. This year he didn't work at all, so I'm assuming I'll get nothing. It blows my mind how he can be remarried, have two additional children, and still not work. Unbelievable.

Did you go through the state to try to collect?

This plus he can't get a passport if he owes 2500 or more

He's probably getting paid under the table.  The state can't collect if he's doing that.

My ex owes me over 20k...and he also owes his first ex wife for at LEAST 5 years...but he's giving up rights to our kids, although he will still be responsible for the back up to the date of the adoption. Where we're from they suspend your license and put you in jail, but he does me no good in jail or outa jail

LOL I'm owed over 30,000 for ONE kid. So far, it seems the courts game plan is to continue to threaten him with jail, but actually do nothing. This has been going on for ten years now, so I don't expect it to change. However, it never goes away. If he lives long enough, the money will eventually be taken from any disability or retirement money he has coming in.
