Why? Because he took the day off. He said he couldn't sleep last night so he took a sick day. Well I run a daycare and can't leave my house. My eleven year old is really sick so I made a Dr. appt at 1115 for him. My dad was going to take him but because dh was home I told him he is taking him. His reasoning for not wanting to go is he is supposed to be sick. I told him tough. I don't think anyone would think anything of him getting out to the Dr. I guess he should've gone to work. I go without sleep all the time.

1 mom liked this
I think taking your sick kid to the doctor on your sick day is fine... He just doesn't want to, and is making excuses.

Ask him when do you get a "sick" day!
He's just being lazy. Life still goes on. Even when you're "sick".

I know that's what I told him. My dad takes two kids to preschool at noon and I doubt they'll be done. It's not worth the close timing if he's home.

He works his ass off and if didn't have sick pay he would've gone in. His real issue is he hates Dr. offices. He offered to stay with the daycare but he's no longer certified to stay. And although I'm not likely to have state show up I will not take the risk. Even if I know they'll be cared for.
