24 and owning my first home!

So dh and I are 23 and we are buying our first home! We move in next month. Its a trailer (I know I know) but its a huge 4+2 double wide. It was my moms and she is selling it to us. Its in great shape. Nice size porch and rooms. We will even have a storage building and a school room.
By the time I am 25 I will own my own home out right. We are giving her 5k from taxes and 5 k next year.

Its not a big beautiful house like I want but its a start and I'm pround to say I am a home owner. At 23.... wow.... yay me!!!!

That's great. My dh and I bought our home last year I was 25, he was 29. Its a good feeling.

Yay for you! We bought our first when I was 22 and exDH was 28. We sold it three years later :(. DH and I are going to buy in about 5 years, and I'll be 30.

Congrats :) are you planning any exciting renovations to make it different than how your mother kept it?

How did you decide that was the area you wanted to live in long term? I'd love to buy instead of own, but I can't commit to one area long term. I feel like we have to be flexible and follow the job market.
