My refund was deposited today. I was supposed to get 7000 back and it is only 4220. How does that happen? We don't owe child support (no previous kids), We don't owe a federal debt, and we don't owe state. Those are the only reasons listed on the website as to why your return is pulled from. Who do I even call to find out about this? I did our taxes online so I don't have a tax prepare.

Yes. Call the IRS. You can also call your bank to see if * maybe * they had to break it in to two deposits. But I highly doubt that one. Otherwise, the sweet music of the IRS wait line will be your friend today. I called them a couple of times before and they were very nice, the wait just took forever.
